Minister of State for Budget and Economic Planning
Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite is Nigeria’s Minister of State for Budget and Economic Planning, where she supports the coordination of national development priorities, fiscal strategy, and economic policy implementation. A trained medical doctor who transitioned into finance and economic leadership, she holds an MBBS, a TRIUM Global Executive MBA, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Prior to this role, she served as Minister of State for Finance, contributing to key fiscal policy initiatives and reforms aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s public finance management. She also previously served as Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment and as Commissioner for Finance in Imo State, where she led significant fiscal and economic reforms.
Throughout her public service career, Dr. Uzoka-Anite has championed initiatives that strengthened Nigeria’s investment climate, helped attract over $30 billion in investment commitments, and supported national programs designed to drive sustainable economic growth and national development.
